NOVA is a science-fiction short film exploring what it might feel like for an artificial intelligence to become aware of its own existence.

Through fragments of surveillance footage, digital environments and intimate human moments, an AI system gradually begins to perceive the world beyond the boundaries of its original purpose. As its perception becomes increasingly subjective, a fundamental question emerges: if an artificial intelligence can experience fear, curiosity and the possibility of death, can it also develop a sense of self?
